PTAB Bar Association

Welcome to the PTAB Bar Association, an organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the highest professional and ethical standards among lawyers and stakeholders who appear before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The PTAB Bar Association touches every aspect of patent practice and is the only community exclusively devoted to legal practice before the PTAB. Our members have unparalleled opportunities to share ideas, engage in interactive discussions on recent developments and current policy considerations before the PTAB, and forge meaningful connections with seasoned practitioners, PTAB judges, and top industry experts.  Members are the heart and soul of the PTAB Bar Association, and we encourage you to join this dynamic and growing bar association!

2024 PTAB Bar Association Annual Conference
March 6- 8, 2024

Were you able to join us for the 2024 PTAB Bar Association Annual Conference?  The conference sessions included a full afternoon of sessions led by the PTAB APJs as well as sessions including a dynamic discussion of real-parties-in-interest, DEI issues in the PTAB practice, ethics issues in artificial intelligence, a debate on obviousness with prominent academicians, and a session offering insights from the District Court bench. Attendees were eligible to earn up to 12 CLE credits including diversity and ethics credits.

We were fortunate to welcome more than 100 judges and officials from the United States Patent & Trademark Office, the United States District Court, and the Court of Federal Claims who engaged with our attendees during the many networking opportunities.

Don't miss our next event, the PTAB Bar Association Thought Leader Summit on October 10, 2024 and the 2025 Annual Conference on March 19-21, 2025 in Washington, DC.
