As we gear up for our Inaugural Conference on March 1-3, the PTAB Bar Association Program Committee is excited to announce the launch of its 2017 webinar series. On January 26, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET, the PTAB Bar Association will host a “kick-off” webinar presented by industry insiders from the PTAB Bar Association Industry Committee. The “kick-off” webinar will provide you with a flavor of the in-person programming you’ll receive when you join us for our inaugural conference in Washington, DC. Please join us as the distinguished panel of in-house counsel for petitioners and patent owners discuss important PTAB issues and tell us what they look for in outside counsel.

Panelist Bios

 

Killough

Kenneth Maikish is Litigation Counsel at Google. Ken’s primary responsibility is to manage domestic and international patent litigation. Most of his experience is in the Eastern District of Texas and the ITC. Prior to joining Google, Ken was an associate at Kaye Scholer and at White & Case.
 
 


David Killough

David Killough is an Assistant General Counsel in the Litigation, Competition and Compliance Group of Microsoft’s Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs department. Killough’s principal responsibility is management of Microsoft patent litigation matters in the U.S. and internationally.

Before joining Microsoft in 2008, Killough was a partner of the firm Vinson & Elkins L.L.P. in Austin, Texas, where he co-headed the Intellectual Property & Technical Litigation Section, and before that was a partner of the firm O’Melveny & Myers LLP in California.


Steve Chiang

Steve Chiang is Director of Patent Analysis and IP Counsel at RPX Corporation, where he is responsible for technical and legal analysis of patent portfolios in consultation with the company’s patent acquisitions team. Additionally, he manages day-to-day operations of RPX’s validity challenges. Before joining RPX, he worked in private practice on patent prosecution and litigation support including reexaminations.
 


Mark Rachlin

Mark Rachlin is Senior Patent Litigation counsel for GlaxoSmithKline in King of Prussia, Pa. At GSK Mark manages a variety of patent ligation matters including IPRs, ANDA litigation and biotech cases.
