Washington, DC: The PTAB Bar Association at its Inaugural Conference honored Director Michelle K. Lee, Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, with its very first award – the “Inaugural Conference Award” – in recognition for inspiring the formation of the PTAB Bar Association through early encouragement and support, and outstanding leadership, dedication, and service implementing the America Invents Act, as well as improving the quality of United States Patent Rights, and many other accomplishments. The award was presented during the luncheon reception before nearly 500 attendees at the PTAB Bar Association’s Inaugural Conference on March 2, 2017, in Washington, DC. In her remarks, Director Lee thanked the Association for its role in fostering meaningful collaboration between all participants in the intellectual property system.
