The PTAB Bar Association is pleased to announce the web and print publication of the inaugural edition of the PTAB Bar Association Law Journal. A collaboration with the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property, the Journal publishes articles analyzing practice at the PTAB, authored by PTAB Bar Association members. The electronic version of the PTAB Bar Association Law Journal is available here, as well as on the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property’s website.
The PTAB Bar Association was formed to bring together legal professionals in law firms, government, and academia to increase the quality, professionalism, and sophistication of PTAB practice and to explore improvements to the post-grant proceedings created by the America Invents Act. The Journal does so by publishing timely articles on important aspects of Patent Trial and Appeal Board practice, including the interplay of PTAB proceedings and district court litigation. The inaugural edition includes eight articles penned by PTAB Bar Association members, spanning topics from a strategic approach to potential estoppel effects and Administrative Procedure Act protections to litigation stay considerations and more.
The Journal will publish biannual spring and fall volumes. Articles completed prior to print publication publish in real-time online by the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property. If interested in contributing, either as an author or as an editor, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
